Fast, professional floor cleaning and restoration services: Cleaning, polishing and restoring indoor granite flooring across the Perth metro. area, Mandurah and Pinjarra.
Restore & Protect’s Granite Restoration Services
Like all stone, unsealed granite is naturally porous and susceptible to staining and etching. Although it’s relatively hard and dense (between 6 – 7 Mohs, which is harder than most engineered stone or even marble surfaces), over time heavy use or high traffic areas can leave the granite surface dull, scratched, or otherwise less-than-gleaming.
Scratches, stains, dull spots – all of these can be easily fixed with Restore & Protect’s range of granite cleaning, polishing and sealing services.
We offer three levels of granite restoration:
1. Full restoration
If your floor has been left a little too long and needs serious work to come back to life, this is the option for you.
Restore & Protect’s full restoration removes deep scratches, and can hone or grind uneven patches or lipping. It includes deep cleaning the granite to rid it of ingrained dirt and grime, polishing to restore the natural shine, and can be resealed using our premium Guard Industry penetrating sealers.
2. Light restoration
This service level offers the same deep clean and beautiful polished finish, and gets rid of shallow scratching and ingrained muck that can’t be removed by normal cleaning. It does not cover honing or grinding the granite floor or surface. Light restoration can also include resealing, depending on the condition and use of your floor.
3. Regular cleaning and maintenance of granite surfaces
If your granite’s integrity is still intact, but it needs a deep clean beyond what you can achieve with home cleaning methods, this is the level of service for you. Regular maintenance cleaning gets your granite tiles beautifully clean and polished with our specialised equipment.
Restore & Protect treats your home with the utmost care. Our cleaning, resurfacing, polishing and sealing is done efficiently and without any risk to the rest of your property. Our equipment uses minimal water, and we recover any waste water with our vacuum recovery system as we go; avoiding debris, dust, and waste water from collecting anywhere.

FAQs
How often should granite be sealed?
If you opt for Restore & Protect to seal your granite surface with Guard Industry’s Protect Guard MG. This is specifically designed for granite, marble and dense natural stone. With proper and periodic maintenance you can expect to get 10 years out of the product before needing to reseal.
If you opt for the Protect Guard WF (colour enhancing sealer) you can expect approximately 4-5 years in between resealing. Unfortunately, anything that is applied to change the appearance of a surface will not last as long as a natural finish sealer.
After sealing the surface, Restore & Protect will provide a small 1 litre concentrate bottle of the Guard Industry Soiled Floors. This is an excellent maintenance cleaner for general cleaning, which will not adversely effect the sealer lifespan – unlike other general household cleaners.
How to maintain granite between sealing?
If you take care of your granite it will serve you well. A well maintained granite surface can last over 100 years. This is assuming regular, proactive cleaning and sealing to protect the stone’s natural beauty against future damage.
Cleaning your granite floor is best done with warm, soapy water or a dedicated cleaner product. After cleaning, you should clean up any excess with a damp microfibre cloth, then dry it with a soft cloth, and allow the granite surface to dry fully before using it.
How much does granite sealing cost?
The cost of your job depends on the service required, size of area, and whether any special stain removal is required.
For a firm quote, Restore & Protect can attend your property and assess the job’s requirements in person.
Can you reseal granite yourself?
We wouldn’t recommend it. The trouble with DIY restoration jobs on a surface like granite is that it takes specialised tools, knowledge, and experience to truly get the job done well. Additionally, it’s easy to go awry when trying to research top DIY tips online.
Don’t risk the aesthetic appeal of your granite tiles or surfaces. The restoration process is best done by experienced technicians like Restore & Protect, who have the right gear and relevant experience to get the job done.
How do professionals clean granite?
We use specialised equipment to clean and restore granite surfaces. This extremely versatile machinery is suited for both small and large areas, and can handle anything from simple light restoration way up to heavy grinding and polishing in problem areas.
Do you restore countertops?
No, our speciality is high quality stone floor restoration services. We do not offer benchtop repairs.
